Local golf options for students in Fore-vallis

Image shows the green on the fifth hole of Golf City Par 3, a nine-hole golf course. OSU students can easily move around the course without a push cart or golf cart.
As the cloudy skies clear and the rain stops, the sun and blue skies appear, as if nature is calling you to enjoy all of its wonders. Golf gives you the opportunity to fully enjoy the beauty of Corvallis and also provides a great opportunity to spend time with friends enjoying the beautiful outdoor views.
Classes in the area offer student discounts, allowing everyone to stay in the game. Whether you’re an experienced player or a beginner, there’s nothing better than hitting the perfect shot and watching your ball soar in the fresh spring air. So the next time the sun comes out, grab your clubs, gather your friends and head to one of the great Corvallis golf courses for a fun day out.
The days are getting longer and warmer, a sure sign that winter is over and it’s time to enjoy the great outdoors. One of the best ways to enjoy the warmth of spring in Corvallis is to play a round of golf at Lynx Course. Whether it’s Golf City Par 3, a 9-hole golf course and 18-hole mini golf course, or Trysting Tree Golf Club, an 18-hole linx-style championship course. So clean up your clubs and invite your friends, here’s your guide to golf in Corvallis.
Golf City Par 3 is only 8 minutes drive from the campus and offers a unique golf experience for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The golf course, known in the golf world as “Pitch & Putt”, is a much smaller course with holes typically 50 to 130 yards.
That’s what makes Golf City a quintessential place for first-round golfers and advanced golfers struggling to hone their short game. The total length of the track is just over 800 yards.
A unique hole on the course is the eighth par 4. The only par 4 hole on the course, but it is not that long.
Owner Jim Hayes claims it is “the world’s shortest par 4″ where a large tree separates you from the green, forcing you to drive to the left and giving you a corner to get on the small par 4 green. lucky.
Golf City should appeal to college students who want to play golf on a budget. This will currently be the time of the year they charge a winter fee, but there are a few greenery issues at the moment.
Thus, a circle around Golf City costs only $7. In summer the price is $14.
If you want to test your mini golf skills or even find a place to meet your soul mate, Golf City is the place to be. The 18-hole mini golf course is only $7 and it even has a waterfall.
Another great aspect of Golf City is that their bar is located right behind the first hole. It offers lunch 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and then offers a small bar menu until closing, which doesn’t happen until all golfers are off the course.

If you want to play golf on a larger scale and have the same range as the Oregon men’s and women’s golf teams, take the short drive down Highway 34 to Trysting Tree Golf Club.
Club pro Hogan Arey of Trysting Tree Golf Club talks about the course’s history and his true commitment to Oregon students.
“Trysting Tree is owned by the Oregon Foundation. It was built for the community and college students. One of the great things about us is that we offer affordable prices for students. Golf can be expensive, limiting access, so by offering student prices, we give university students the opportunity to play golf in a really nice place,” said Arey.
As a member of the Beaver Nation, you receive discounts on courses where elite Division 1 golfers practice and play.
Trysting Tree offers 9 and 18 hole options and also offers the convenience of golf carts. For those who like to get a little exercise on their tours, the nine-hole walk is $20 and carts are another $9 per person.
The 18-hole walk costs $32, and the addition of carts brings the total to $50 per player. The course is just over 6,000 yards from the most common white tees and is designed as a par 71.
While fairways are for players of all levels and have a minimal number of holes lined with trees, greens are a challenge for golfers due to the undulating, undulating surfaces and steep drops on some sides. Even with its unique greenery, Trysting Tree is suitable for any level of golf skill.
Whether you’re looking for a place to practice your golf, improve your golf technique, or even improve your chipping skills, Trysting Tree has everything you need. Students can use the course’s practice facilities, which include a full driving range, a 20,000-square-foot putting and chipping green with sand escape bunkers.
Trysting Tree offers three driving range bucket options: small ($3.50 for 30 balls), medium ($7 for 60 balls), and large ($10.50 for 90 balls). Also, don’t worry if you don’t have your own set of clubs. Trysting Tree offers free stick rentals with the purchase of any size bucket.
Trysting Tree is one of the few courses in the Willamette Valley to offer a full-service pro shop. From demo clubs to golf essentials, the pro shop has everything you need to play golf.
