Volkswagen Unveils Elon Musk’s Lost Dream Car With Latest $25,000 Entry-Level Electric Car

The stock was cut so badly that analysts were almost certain it would crash, and even CEO Elon Musk wasn’t sure about the company’s future. The company is losing everything and making up most of the broken promises that Musk made on his Twitter account.
Musk made and kept one promise: to build an affordable premium all-electric car for the masses. This led to the launch of the Tesla Model 3 in 2017 with a base price of around $35,000. Tesla has slowly evolved into the electric vehicle (EV) that it is today. Since then, Teslas have become more expensive, with the cheapest models on the market selling for around $43,000.
In September 2020, Musk made another bold pledge to build a $25,000 car to increase the affordability of electric vehicles. Although it never came to fruition, Musk doubled down on his promise in 2021, dropping the promised price to $18,000. Affordable EVs were supposed to show up at Tesla Investor Day in March 2023, but that didn’t happen.
With the release of the ID, Volkswagen seems to have surpassed Musk in making affordable electric vehicles. 2 All cars are reported to cost less than €25,000 ($26,686). The car is a small hatchback, making it one of the cheapest electric vehicles on the market. Previously, the crown was held by Chevrolet Bolt with a price tag of about $28,000.
